Philip A. Feinberg
Philip joined the Schafer lab in 2016 with an interest in understanding what role microglia play in regulating excitatory-inhibitory balance in the brain. In 2011, Philip graduated Ithaca College with a B.S. in Biochemistry. He spent three subsequent years in New York City doing research at The Rockefeller University with Paul Greengard PhD and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with Anne Schaefer MD PhD studying epigenetic mechanisms contributing to neurodegenerative diseases. Philip is an aspiring physician scientist interested in specializing in the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders and uncovering novel therapeutic strategies through collaborative research efforts.
